Revesby Dynamics

RD-01 Studio Compressor and RD-02 Transient Shaper install together from one installer, the same file for the demo and the full version: download it from the RD-01 or RD-02 page. The installation, SmartScreen and notarization notes below apply to it too. The RD-01 and RD-02 manuals cover every step in more detail.

The demo

Without a licence, each plugin runs as a demo: every control and feature works, with no time limit, and sessions save normally. Every 45 seconds the output drops to silence for 2 seconds, including in offline bounces. A DEMO badge shows on the plugin’s screen.

Activating your licence

Your order email has a licence file attached, ending .license. Drag it onto the plugin window, or open the plugin’s About page and choose IMPORT. Activation happens on your computer: no internet connection or activation server is needed, and your settings, presets and sessions stay as they are. One import covers every DAW on that computer, and a Dynamics Bundle licence unlocks both plugins.

A licence covers up to three computers that you own or use: import the same file on each. The End User Licence Agreement sets out the terms.

If you lose your licence file

Sign in with the email address you used at checkout: your purchases and licence files are listed in your account. Or write to support@revesbyaudio.com with your order email and it will be resent.

Uninstalling

On Windows, remove Revesby Dynamics from Installed apps. On macOS, delete the plugin’s .vst3 and .component from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. Your licence file and presets stay in place.

Refunds

If a plugin you bought doesn’t work properly on your computer, write to us within 14 days of purchase: we’ll try to fix it, and refund you if we can’t. The refund policy has the details.

Installing the Altered Matter Collection

Revesby Audio plugins run in any VST3-compatible DAW on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, with an Intel or AMD processor. On macOS 12 or later, universal Apple Silicon/Intel builds support VST3 and AU.

1. Download the collection installer or an individual installer from a product page.
2. Save your work and close your DAW.
3. Run the installer. With the collection installer, select the plugins you want to install or update.
4. Restart your DAW or rescan its plugins.

Your selected plugins then appear in your DAW’s plugin list. No account is required. Unchecked plugins are left as they are; you can run the installer again to add others later.

On Windows, each plugin can be removed separately through Installed apps. Updating or uninstalling preserves your personal presets and registration.

macOS installation

Open the downloaded DMG and run the enclosed PKG installer. With the collection installer, choose the plugins you want. Restart your DAW and rescan. Logic Pro uses the Audio Unit versions.

VST3 plugins install in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3; Audio Units in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. If a plugin does not appear, check your host’s plugin manager and run a full rescan.

To remove one plugin on macOS, delete its .vst3 and .component bundles from those folders, and its folder in /Library/Revesby.

Altered Matter registration

Registration is optional and personalises your plugins with your account email. Download your licence from the Registration section of your account, then open a plugin’s logo menu and choose “Import license”. Every feature works without it.

Windows SmartScreen

Revesby Audio Windows installers are digitally signed. If Windows shows a SmartScreen or security prompt, it should name REVESBY AUDIO as the publisher. If it names anyone else, or no publisher, don’t run the file. You can also verify the installer’s checksum against the one published alongside its download.

macOS notarization

Each Mac DMG and the installer inside it are signed with an Apple Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled, so macOS opens them without a warning. If macOS says the developer cannot be verified or the file is damaged, don’t open it; download it again from this site. You can also verify the DMG’s checksum.

If the plugin does not appear

Run a full plugin rescan rather than a quick one, and check that your DAW scans C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, the standard VST3 folder where the installer places the plugin. On macOS, the installer uses /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.

Altered Matter licence

Resin, Lacquer and Facet are free. Install them on as many of your own computers as you like and use them in any music you make, personal or commercial. No credit is required.

Please don’t redistribute, resell or bundle the installers, and don’t modify or reverse-engineer the plugins. Link to this site instead, so people always get the current signed build. The plugins remain the property of Revesby Audio.
