End User Licence Agreement
The licence for RD-01 Studio Compressor and RD-02 Transient Shaper, in plain English. Version 1.0. Last updated 28 October 2026.
This agreement is between you and Justin Graham, trading as Revesby Audio (ABN 63 320 272 207), Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (“Revesby Audio”, “we”, “us”). It covers RD-01 Studio Compressor and RD-02 Transient Shaper, in both the demo and the licensed versions, including their updates, presets and documentation (the “Software”).
By installing or using the Software, you agree to this agreement. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use it.
1. The demo
You can download and use the demo free of charge to try the Software. It has every feature, but its output drops to silence for two seconds every 45 seconds of processed audio. Don’t use the demo to get around that restriction, and don’t try to remove or bypass it.
2. Your licence
When you buy the Software, we give you a personal licence. It’s non-exclusive and non-transferable, and it lets you:
- install and use the Software on up to three computers that you own or use, provided you are the only person using it;
- use it in any work you make, personal or commercial, including music, film, games, broadcast and commercial releases. You don’t owe us royalties or credit.
The Dynamics Bundle gives you this licence for both RD-01 and RD-02.
If an organisation buys the Software, the licence is for one person the organisation nominates. Each additional person needs their own licence.
3. Your licence file
We deliver your licence as a file that carries your name. It’s for you alone. Don’t share it or publish it, and don’t give it to anyone else. Keep a copy somewhere safe. If you lose it, contact us and we’ll resend it.
4. What you can’t do
Except where the law allows it, you must not:
- sell, rent, lend, give away, sublicense or otherwise transfer the Software or your licence to anyone else;
- copy the Software, except to install it as section 2 allows and to keep backups;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify the Software;
- bypass, disable or tamper with the licence check or the demo restriction, or help anyone else do so;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or licence notice in the Software;
- distribute the installers. Link to revesbyaudio.com instead, so people always get the current signed build.
5. No transfers
Your licence can’t be transferred to another person, whether by sale, gift or any other means. It ends if you no longer want it; it doesn’t pass to someone else.
6. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Revesby Audio keeps all rights, title and intellectual property in it, apart from the third-party components listed in section 8. You own the audio and other work you make with it; we claim no rights in it.
7. Updates
All updates to version 1 of the Software are free for licence holders. A future version 2 would be a separate product, and this licence doesn’t include it. We aren’t obliged to release updates, but we will meet our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (section 10).
8. Third-party components
The Software includes third-party components under their own licences, including the JUCE framework and the Geist, Geist Mono and Archivo typefaces (SIL Open Font License 1.1). Their notices are included with the Software and listed on our third-party notices page. Those licences apply to those components.
9. Privacy
The Software works offline and doesn’t collect or send any information about how you use it. Once licensed, it asks our website about once a day whether your licence’s order has been refunded or charged back, sending only your licence ID (and, like any web request, your computer’s IP address). If your computer is offline, nothing changes. The demo makes this request only for a licence that was revoked on that computer, so that a dispute resolved in our favour can restore it. BUY opens our website in your browser. Our privacy policy covers the website, your purchase and this check.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can’t be excluded. Sections 11 and 12 apply only to the extent the law allows.
11. Warranty
Apart from the guarantees in section 10 and our refund policy, we provide the Software as it is. We don’t promise that it will be error-free, run without interruption or work with every computer, host application or setup. We recommend that you try the demo on your system before you buy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, time or opportunity, arising from the Software or this agreement;
- our total liability to you for anything to do with the Software or this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Back up your projects and work. Audio software runs inside other programs, and things can go wrong.
13. Ending the licence
Your licence continues until it ends. It ends automatically if you seriously or repeatedly break this agreement (for example, by sharing your licence file or bypassing the licence check), or if your purchase is fully refunded or the payment is disputed or reversed; the Software then returns to the demo. If a dispute is resolved in our favour, the licence works again. When it ends, you must stop using the licensed version and delete your licence file; you can keep using the demo under section 1. Sections 6 and 10 to 14 continue to apply after it ends.
14. General
- This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
- If a court finds any part of this agreement unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
- This agreement, our terms of sale and our refund policy together make up the whole agreement between you and us about the Software. Purchases are sold by Link, Stripe’s merchant of record, but this licence is between you and Revesby Audio.
- We may update this agreement for future versions of the Software. The version that came with the copy you installed applies to that copy.
